This fabulous song by Tony Pass (Tony Passalaqua of the Fascinators) was a very popular hit in Australia in 1966. It remains an old favourite among Australian baby boomers.

  • Great song, Brisbanes 4KQ Saturday night jukebox plays this regularly. Whatever happened to Tony? Is it available on a CD at all?

  • @appollo1947 Tony Passalaqua was the lead vocalist for a doo-wop band called The Fascinators. You can look him up on Wikipaedia.

  • Thanks for posting - been searching for this song for months! Had plenty of airplay here in Adelaide around 1965/66. There were few music videos in those days so I remember it always being mimed on a TV pop show - Kommotion?

  • @krewlink2 Yes. Kommotion was where I remember the song from originally.

  • I can't believe I remember the lyrics...I was born in 1960! Thanks mum for always having the transistor playing!

  • @appollo1947 Search Tony Pass on Timewarp Records and it is available on a CD Hazy Memories Vol 1.

I have it on a Timewarp Cd Hard to Get Hits Volume 1 and the quality is superb.

  • @spoofa20 Yes, hear it a lot on Magic which is great!

  • @kangaroonm I think Alex Rappel did the miming on Kommotion for this song. It's a great upbeat song -heard occasionally in Melbourne on the radio station Magic 1278.Thank you for posting Oldies Appreciator.

  • @krewlink2 Love this, yes was played here in Melbourne a lot on Kommotion as well

  • Tony is still singing with The Legends Of Doo Wop, as great as ever. Spring Fever is on the Oh Rose Marie CD with 29 other fabulous tracks of Fascinators/Tony Mithchell/Tony Richards/Tony Passalaqua material (all Tony Passalaqua.) I hear the CD is a bootleg. I don't think Tony gets any money from it.
