Descartes rule of signs and "Upper bound/Lower bound" would help a lot to eliminate possibilities. Especially when dealing with really high degrees

@MicNarcolepsy i have a ton, but i use stewart and larson a lot for calculus. i used stewart's book in the past as a student and when i taught in the classroom

Patrick there has to be a shortcut for this because on a test I can't try all 15 factors of a number...

This would be so much easier if when you had to find the zeros, you wouldn't have to go through 20 possible rational roots
