It is also true that the Vietnam war was a waste however veterans are still veterans. Even though they were not fighting for a cause, they still risked their lives when their country called for them. People who disrespect U.S. veterans of Vietnam are the problem. Just because they actually sacked up and didn't burn their draft cards, doesn't mean that they are war mongers.

@kanedog229 They didn't have to go; but no one was disrespectful of them when they came back, we felt sorry for them, being too weak to resist or go to prison. Most felt betrayed. It's just a lie that they were disrespected.

Alright but it is true that in some cases when veterans returned home they would be spat on by hippies. It is fine to be antiwar. I respect that. However when people who served our country are disrespected because they served our country, that is unacceptable. Even though the war was stupid, Veterans still Deserve respect.

@kanedog229 Actually, that was just a lie; there were NO cases of vets being spat on. Even those who, admittedly, liked killing; one dude who was in the "intelligence" service re-upped, cause he liked torturing. Even those opposed to the war respected the troops who had to go.
