Great video. I couldn't agree more with breaking the insulin issue through diet.

@HaticeBali If your androgen report did not have "free" or "unbound" next to it, get those forms done. If you think that hormonal changes are influencing the hair growth, then doing a full cycle salivary hormone panel would be a good place to start the search.
We have a full cycle panel on our site. I go over all results with you at no charge. See True Health Labs dot com and click on the female category.

Hello Dr. Brady,
I enjoyed your video very much, thanks for taking the time to make it and answer questions! I've read from a previous question posed that you do not recommend taking spironolactone. I just started taking a low does (25mg/day), in addition to the saw palmetto my doctor recommended. I'm interested in what methods you would pursue, beyond diet and exercise. I find taking pharmaceuticals very scary, but the temptation of something curing my hirsutism was too great! Thanks!

I have had my periods that are irregular since I started my periods when I was 9. The periods will be between 20-35 days and then I will not have it again for months. I am now 30 and still have the same issues. Does this mean that I have PCOS?

@rmilazzo2 Thanks for your questions. Many things can cause abnormal cycles. Elevations in testosterone in blood or saliva can help determine what areas to address. A helpful tool is doing a extended female hormone saliva panel. This test looks a multiple hormones (including testosterone) over the entire cycle and does a good job of determining some main causes. For more information, see True Health Labs dot com and see the "female" category.

Never had weight issues. Had cysts on my ovaries all my life. Never missed a period until menopause. Told I had PCOS. Pregnant three times in my 30's. Not a diabetic. No facial hair. What are the doctor's missing here? Had 2 grandmothers with cancer, one died from a cancerous cyst in her gut, one had cancer of the uterous.

@Reneelwaring a full thyroid panel (with TPO, TGB, and ANA antibodies) and a post menopausal saliva profile. That would be a good start in finding some underlying promotors.
Hope that helps!
