Philip and Melanie 12/30/2010 pt 1 (Beatdown at the Baptism)

All is finally revealed...and the show didn't hold back on this one.

I don;t want to go into much commentary on this one...so much to take in. What can you really say about watching an entire family implode? It is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. You want to turn away but you just can't help yourself. I knew this was coming, and it had to, but man I definitely didn't like seeing it.

Daniel is an enraged man he gets brutal with Philip. Shawn is really good at the big emotional scenes and he truly delivers here. Listen to what he says about children. He clearly thinks Philip is deadbeat scum. Yep this rivalry is set.

A wise woman told me that due to Melanie's abuse and history, expect her to shut down when she finds out the truth. Molly Burnett is an amazing young actress, so talented. You can literally see the moment in this where the walls come down and her light goes out. It was the very thing that Philip didn't want to happen. And amidst all this chaos, Philip remained the most collected, though I am sure dying inside. He lets you know his pain in small ways...like he remarks to Victor...:"Did you see my wife's face?" And Victor responds he did see. We all saw, Melanie is a force on this show, full of life, passion, emotion...she lights up a room. Today - she dimmed.

Caroline standing in God's house lying - she didn't do it to protect Parker, she did it to help STEPHANIE!!!!!!!! All of it was to help Stephanie hold on to Nathan, jeez Caroline you are such a lying BITCH. I loved what Victor said to Philip. I felt when I was watching that scene that Victor was speaking for me because that's what I would have said to Philip. I'm glad its out in the open now but Days blew it out of the water with the writing and acting.

I'm sorry but shouldn't be forgiven this time around because she should known better than to but her nose into a situation that is none of her damm business and have nothing to do with her so I don't feel sorry for her or chloe or Philip.

i'm finally watching this. nice of kayla to just breeze in from africa and blow everything out of the water. then she proceeds to run around town, trying to scratch people's faces off. well, carly's, to be specific.

wow the really did the damn thing. Shawn if you don't get at least and emmy nomination for best leading actor then something really isn't right. And also Jay Kenneth Johnson should get a nomination for best supporting actor. And Finally Molly Burnett has officially got a fan for life. :)

@Shenetha Have to look at it from Melanie's perspective, her mother hasn't exactly been there thru the years and they really are just getting to know one another, and so far all that she knows of Carly are the lies she's told to protect the one's she's loved......so it's not a far stretch for Melanie to think mom knew......but I do feel sorry for Carly, heck I feel sorry for all three....Thanks to Caroline she blew a family apart.

Ugh....glad it came out, but I can't stand that Melanie blames everything on her mother. Does she really think that Carly would've kept that from her, I don't think so. Melanie always looks to blame somebody for something. The whole situation sucks, but she should hear the whole truth before she jumps to conclusions. Man I hope she gets over this one.

These scenes were so intense. I knew the truth would come out, but it was still hard to watch
