they're already halfmap/halfmap and the replay isn't even half over
O_O

@BenHileday thing is, if memory serves in sc1, if you have multiple casters on 1 control group, they will all cast the spell, rather than just one. that was the case with high templar's psi storm. I'm not sure if that was the case with ghosts, but I think it was the same
-
Makes alittle more sense then...
-
I think he meant to use the medics for restore against the lockdown, not for the optical flair.
-
@rapaicruma Because It would probably not make a difference? You'd have to Flare every single unit boxer has in a field in order to make the flare effective, + he could throw in a few scans to counter THAT if needed. It certainly would've been epic if Chunsang could'a made such an attack... but it's quiet improbable.

6:59 If not ahead? DUDE HE HAS 13K+ MINERALS LOL xD
-
there was 1 bc that he didnt lock down. it was the one the he targeted
-
@BenHileday Wait wouldn't this cast 7 lockdowns from the ghosts? Selecting to lockdown with 7 and then deselecting one would still fire off the 7 no?
-
OMG, dude, your commentary is sooooo cool :D
-
@BenHileday wont all 8 ghosts throw their lockdowns on a single target?
-
@nicoelson no.
-
I know this is an old match, and that strategies were much different back then, but why didn't Chunsang build a medic?
I mean, if I saw someone use the lockdown a bunch of my BCs and tanks, you know, just maybe I would start thinking about how to counter that...
-
Thanks for the cloning explanation. That sounds hard, but not as hard as how I would've had to do it.
Restoration is a hard counter to lockdown. Takes less energy, comes from a cheaper unit.
-
@avinotion I think someone was yelling "yes" or something ...
-
a nuke at 1:10 would be good

lol @ 6 min comment

Come on Boxer, you know you wanna go for Nukes :D
-
i just wanna know one thing - was that pause by CholeraSC caused by a cat? 2:12

another thing you gotta keep in mind about lockdowns is that the spell shortcut key is an L which means you have to use your left hand to move it to the other side of the keyboard while your right hand is clicking at the different units. If you actually try it its ALLLOT harder then cloning with easier spells that have the shortcut e or r, etc. lockdowns of all spells require really fast hand movements especially wen L is like one of the furthest keys from your left hand
-
Very interesting, thanks!

you select a group of ghosts, tell them all to lock down one unit, hold shift and click one in the screen o nthe bottoom of the screen, tell the remaining group to lock down a different unit, shift click out another ghost etc. if you can do it to all of the ghosts before the group gets there they will all lock down a different unit simultaniously. this techniqe is called cloning and is used more for scourge micro than spells and is harder to do with spells
-
you select all your ghosts, then tell them all to lock one bc. then shift click one wireframe so that you have all of them minus one selected. then lockdown another bc. repeat until you have ghosts locking each bc. The way it works is that the ghosts do not actually lock all the bcs even though you tell them to. Boxer is a legend, so he can do it fast enough so that he can lock down every bc without making two ghosts lock the same bc.
When you hold shift and right click on a unit in your group it deselects them from the group. Basicly you have 8 ghosts, cast lockdown on 1 carrier, deselect 1 ghost, with 7 cast lcokdown on the next carrier, deselect a ghost now with 6 cast and the 3rd carrier, deselect again.. wash an repeat. You should do this very very quickly and know enough about the game to pull it off.

Can someone explain this "shift right-click" technique? How does it make for a simultaneous lockdown? Sorry, bit of a noob here.
