It bugged me when Public Television did this many part series on Jazz and left Stan out of the picture ...made a minor reference to his drug addiction ... to produce a definitive body depicting the history and meaning of this music would be an impossible task ... but next time ... more research ... and input from jazz historians would help. Stan had the softest hands I ever shook ... we greeted each other when I worked at the Bird Cage in Chicago circa 1963

@drumsnhockey3 I understand that, it is because of this reason the way i sample completely changes the melodies, that one cannot recognize it even if the original sample is played, i love sampling, and yes i dont put my beats on youtube or anywhere on internet, as ppl steal lol, and dont worry i am not gna ruin it, if i think i am i never finish the beat, just move on, as beatsmith its a natural progression :P
Heard this one playing in a restaurant the other day and just had to dig out the CD again. My late dad's favourite version...Stan puts so much cool emotion into his phrasing.
