I remember a scene I watched as an young kid. I think green charged the young doctors to write a letter on their first they of work. I think they should describe why they wanted to become physicians. Can somebody remember the scene? Was it actually on ER?

Oh gosh this was SUCH a heart breaking episode, I couldn't stop crying....:( His character was so awesome, and he's such a handsome guy ;) Dr.Greene was the best!!

I tell those teen agers that I see what my sister has to go trough in order to raise her kids. Take them here, take them there, If they hill to go to this doctor and that doctor since they are still babies. So, my point is that is is a big shame that parents have to do above and byond in order to keep the kids healty and once they grow up a little the just destroy their health. I ask them "why do you even smoke" But the only answer I get is to fuck off and mind my own business.

@adamsv1000 and that's unfortunate that they tell you to fuck off... it's good to have people who have the guts to tell them they're being stupid with their life. Maybe they need to see a picture of someone who is dying of lung cancer. And maybe they need to have a family member die of lung cancer before they get it. The sad part is, they started it to be cool, maybe because they don't have a positive role model in thei lives. You could be that role model to someone so that they never start.

And do people value those things? You are saying the people die in order that other would value life. Well, does it happen? When I see a young teenager that smokes I find the need to tell them that one of my good friends had a kid who was born with defective lungs. Therefor she has to carry an oxygen tank with her every where. And while she has a great desire to live they, they teen agers kill their lungs with cigarettes, Most of the time those kids just tell me to fuck off.

@adamsv1000 yikes... strong words there... If there weren't bad times, we would not be able to appreciate the good times as much. Without suffering there would be no compassion. Disasters happen, I believe, to give us a chance to help each other out, to consider others before ourselves. Maybe the good people die to remind us to appreciate our loved ones more while they are with us and to take action against evil when they are taken away, for example, by drunk drivers. We could stop that evil.

How can someone believe in a God that let the good people die and the bad people to live. Allthough this is just a show, in real life everyday very good people die. While this is an unfair world and full with darkness there are few people who still bring light to it. Ironicly, those are the people that God takes. I have been living in my own tragic and can hardly take the pain sometimes. If there is a God somewhere than God I want to tell you that you should go to hell.
