Legion did say that the turret hack only lasts a few seconds. You really need to pay attention to characters and hear out what they say before you just start activating things.

When you first had the opportunity to hack the turrets, if you had let Legion finish talking he would have said that it's temporarily. You just activated them. What would have happened if there was a 40% chance that the turrets will activate and start shooting at you?

Just some advice to stay alive just a tad bit longer
