The is the second of 2 commercials our class had to make during Multimedia II. The instructor assigned this as a favor to her friend to get a free commercial to put on her company website for CHemDry cleaner.
Like the other commercial, we had the same wishy-washy director, useles assistant director and inexperienced cameraman. Again we had to take all the clips (good and bad) and make a 1 minute commercial. All editing was done in Final Cut Pro.
The clip during the soda pour on the carpet, a semi-truck blew his air horn on the highway nearby so I had to swap out audio from another clip (most others didn't do that and left in the horn). Unlike the other commercial, I did NOT come up with this script idea but write lines for the three main characters. The "douche bag" character's lines were all ad lib.
I was the only one to come up with the ending image and tagline. Once again, mine wasn't picked (conspiracy...hmmm?) and the one that was had no continuity and bad sound.
These 2 commercials (see my other ChemDry commercial) shows what happens when you have to work with people filming that don't know what they are doing.
