I have always been irked by the painfully short and choppy radar loops on standard weather services. So I downloaded over a weeks worth of radar images (as they came in), and compiled yet another radar animation. Ten minutes per frame, 25 frames per second.

I must give credit to NOAA and their website (noaa.gov) for such being such a fantastic source of information (i.e. these pictures). They are a reminder that at least some of our tax dollars are being well spent towards improving and protecting our society.

  • Reaction - Incredible.

  • SWEET! I too get annoyed at the short loops the weather dork shows on the TV news. You can't get any appreciation for the weather patterns. My degree was in math and physics, but I swear I can predict weather better than the TV "meteorologist". Great job on stitching these together! Now I'm off to find long global loops.

  • I always like it when someone downloads extensive radar sequences.
