NASA's UARS satellite re-entry tracking site: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/uars/index.html
"The sky may not be falling, but a NASA satellite will be soon. A defunct satellite that has been deteriorating in orbit is expected to fall down to Earth later this month or early October. The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite launched in 1991 from the famous 'Discovery' shuttle at the tune of $750 million. The 6.5 ton satellite ran out of fuel in 2005. Satellites in orbit naturally lose altitude once fuel is depleted."

Anywhere between Alaska and South America.. debris field 500 miles. Approx 1200 lbs. Between now and October.

  • what goes up must come down

  • @smiles1969able what goes up must come down... over America... in the same time frame that Elenin is supposedly passing closest to us (if it hasn't disintegrated completely by that time) completely odd. but maybe a coincidence. maybe a big mindf*ck psyop, who knows.. =\

  • @nuggz503 don't be so sure seeing as how the terrorists are in the white house, running the joint. this plane has been hi-jacked

  • You have a better chance of getting your head smashed by a falling NASA satellite than dying from terrorists attack on US soil on the anniversary of 9/11 =P

  • @Sheilaaliens maybe you didn't get him but according to nasa it can hit anywhere from inbetween Alaska to south america; That is in North to south line around the world. So i don't see the big worry here it might hit france, russia, japan. Slim chances it will actually hit the US or land even seeing how the earth is only 25% Land :)

  • WTF happens on 1:18 - 1:21???!!!

  • The satellite is expected to fall between 57 degrees north latitude and 57 degrees south latitude probably Saturday afternoon. It is not expected to hit North America. per NazisAreStillAbout.

  • Between Alaska and South America sounds pretty specific. Where can I find an orbital map for this satellite's trajectory? I'll try nasa as this is happening SOON.

  • Really? Satellites use fuel??? I have so much to learn : /

  • omg theres no gravity in space its impossible for it to fall

  • I cannot take his guy serious LMAO

  • Yo clam down were not going to die

  • How do you like this guy's cavalier attitude. If that thing doesnt mostly burn up, somebody is in for grief. Be well. Be Happy
