Here's a nearly 40 year old classic table hockey game from the Canadian Toy Company, Eagle Toys, made after it merged with Coleco in the late 60's. It is in EXCELLENT condition. This game is 100% complete. There are ZERO missing parts. EVERYTHING works as it was designed.
This game displays very nicely and the pictures show how well it has held up over the years. This game was well taken care of by the original owner. The playing surface is in excellent game-used condition. You can tell the game was well loved. There is some wear and tear from game play. It was used but definitely not abused.
If you're going to be playing this game in competitive tournaments you should know that there is some minimal warping in the wings, but that doesn't stop the tin players from gliding effortlessly back and forth in their slots without binding against the game board.
The plastic nets are in excellent condition. Each is still bright white. Both are free of cracks and breaks in the plastic and both have all the tabs that fit into the game board. The nets are complete with green and red goal "lights." The red "lights" pop-up as designed when a goal is scored. The original plastic scoreboard looks brand new and is 100% complete with puck dropper. The cardboard scoreboard cutouts are in excellent shape and have not yellowed. The original game puck is included.
The metal frame is just as nice. Paint loss is minimal. There are a couple of very minor insignificant dents that don't even show up in the pictures. The plastic end panels are in mint condition. You won't find any cracks, breaks or stress marks in the plastic. All of the original white rubber control rod player grips are intact. Also included are all four of the original blue plastic legs that elevate the game off the playing surface.
Vintage table hockey games are known for their beautiful old school graphics and logos. This game is one of only a couple ever made that featured awesome color pictures of real NHL players. On the metal sides of this game you'll find six of the greatest players to ever wear an NHL sweater; Gordie Howe, Brad Park, Keith Magnuson, Jean Beliveau, Derek Sanderson and Noel Picard. Howe, Beliveau and Park are all in the NHL Hall of Fame. If you grew up a fan of any of these players or the teams they played for, this game serves as a unique timepiece for their achievements.
Underneath, the game looks new! All the player control mechanisms work as they were designed to. Nothing is broken or cracked. Everything is original and in mint condition.
The tin/metal players representing an Original Six Border Battle between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings are in very good condition for being 40 years old. They are rust free and feature minimal paint loss. You can substitute the Montreal Canadiens for the Red Wings if you'd like. I'm missing a Montreal skater but would substitute a Red Wing skater. If you want Montreal instead of Detroit just let me know after the auction ends.
So, if you had this game as a kid, or you're in the market for a very special gift for your hockey loving friends or family members, this 40 year old classic table hockey game from Eagle/Coleco Toys is one that you will display with pride and a vintage game that will be the envy of all your hockey loving friends.
