Cherry blossom is the symbol of a short life, because it only lasts a few days. Kamikaze attackers' suicide dive is always compared as "deflowered as cherry blossom". So it's in a way bloody enough. This expression is also used for a boy telling a girl whom he has a crush on that he loves her, ending up in "Let's just be friends".

She didn't really finish the tank though....

Its a cherry blossom. During WWII the cherry blossom was used to motivate the Japanese people, to stoke nationalism and militarism. Pilots would paint them on the sides of their planes before embarking on a suicide mission, or take branches of the trees with them on their missions. They came to represent the sacrifice of youth in suicide missions to honor the emperor. The government even encouraged the people to believe that the souls of dead Japanese troops were reincarnated in the blossoms.

true, i suppose so. I still think its a little fruity though..a womans touch to a mans murder and machinery....interesting...
-
the flower r kinda like wat u put in graves to honor the dead.. so i guess same concept applies to this
-
I dont like the flower pattern paper on the base of it, the damned thing was designed to murder and destroy things.
This man is a hero!!!
