Ammonium dichromate decomposes when heated yielding green chromium(III) oxide, nitrogen and water vapor.

  • is the product of chromium oxide actually less dense than the ammonium dichromate (that being the reason it takes up so much space ) or is it just that it's spread out and fluffy?
