The first spoken part is in italian, and it is taken from a Pasolini's lyric.

I like the slow version too. Bit like the Tainted Love slowed down piece they did.
I've recently been revisiting the COIL catalogue. Tragedy about Jonh's departure upstairs. Don't know who could replace him... Marc Almond?
Can't believe the lack of comments either! Come on people! This is as good as it gets...

Coil is one of my all-time favorites. The uniqueness of their entire output - sounds, graphics, even their name - has always endeared them to me and is always refreshing. As for who could take John's place, no one comes to mind. Although I appreciate Marc Almond, there's no way he could fill the shoes of Coil's late front man. It's over. Luckily so many good recordings remain. But I'll always regret not being able to see Coil live. They never came to Seattle, as far as I know.

Not sure I like the slower tempo version. Loses what melodiousness it once had.

Speed it up and it's Coil's best song.

As always I am excited when new Coil is posted.

Ostia (Death Of Pasolini) has always been one of my favorites by Coil.

This lent tempo is also a great effect.
