This game miscellany excellent musics, great combo fights, story and entertainment.
System of fights innovative for epoch, where all characters attacks simultaneously.
The magnific game, good work to Enix and Tri-Ace.
The continuations of this game, are: Star Ocean - Second story (PlayOne) and Star Ocean - Till of Time (Play2).

The opening on the PSP is naturally lovely as anything, but seeing the first two anime movies from First Departure in their original form is quite fun as well - some things were changed around, but both have the same spirit, which is always a sign of a good remake... and since the remake is a great game, that only compliments the original's quality.

Is anyone else *strongly* reminded of the opening of Star Trek 6? "Turn her into the wave!"..."Don't tell me that was any meteor shower!" - if only the captain had been drinking tea at the start, instead of coffee...

@BigTimeHacker Don't envy him, you can have it too, just Download Zsnes emulator and Start ocean Rom and play. Youtube won't allow me to place any links here, but you can go on Google, open two searchs, in one you type Zsnes emulator 1.36 (I recommend that version cause it's the best one to play online, but the last one so far is the 1.51) and at the other search you type Snes Star Ocean english Rom, or Snes Star Ocean Rom translation

The best rpgs were the ones before Square-Enix, bfore Enix buy Squaresoft in 2003 and start to worry about graffics quality only nd weird battle systems that look more to adventure games.

You can check it out yourself, Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10-1 and FF Taticts are the best. Everything the came out from Final Fantasy 10-2 on is too boring, you don't get involved by the story, you don't feel yourself inside the game, the only thing that continues alive is the music, cause the game is just "Press x"
