Diddy Kong Racing Walkthrough Pt 65: Vs. Wizpig (2nd time)

You need to have won all the races (47 Golden Balloons) and have all 4 pieces of the T.T. Amulet before you can enter this race.

The final battle against Wizpig is surprisingly easier than the first race against him, as long as you're a good pilot. Wizpig is slower than he was in the first race (despite being on a large rocket) however this course can cause more trouble than course seen in the first race.

At the start, fly low to avoid the boulders. Do not fly in the middle of the track: lasers fire there. Once in the large area, pick up and use the blue balloon on the Wizpig face statue's nose. You'll enter a cave with several vertical columns in it. There are balloons near the columns. You can pick them up if you wish, but it isn't necessary.

The final room can be deadly. By the end of the cave you'll see a shield balloon by a column. Pick this up then activate it when you enter Wizpig's throne room. Lasers wildly fire in every direction in here. If you have the shield, then this room poses no threat. If you miss the balloon, fly to the upper left to avoid the lasers. I've purposely done this on the first lap to show you where you can safely fly in that room.

Simply repeat twice more and you've won! You should be taking a lead on Wizpig come the third lap as he tends to slow down a little bit around then. Once you've won, Wizpig's rocket will go nuts and will fly him to a deserted planet. The ending cutscene then plays.

Even in Normal Quality, this game looks very good. At least in my opinion. Did you know that there is a DS remake? Banjo and Conker aren't in it, but they were replaced with Tiny and Dixie Kong.

You have a misspell in your description. It's "Throne," not "Thrown."

Despite that, you did a good job defeating Wizpig. I took your advice and I collected the yellow balloon. This was hard work only because of those obstacles I needed to dodge.
