You are one of the few people with longer hair that I've seen do these how did you hair feel, look after taking this out?? my hair is bra length and I can forsee my hair being really tangled
You said that you washed your hair. I only dry wash mine because I notice the build up I get from washing my hair when I take it down. I know yarn gets heavy when wet, but could you maybe do a tutorial on dry washing yarn braids?
Looks good. I've been using Yarn braids since I went natural in 2007. I didn't transition, I just went straight for the big shop and I think the Yarn braids really helped my hair growth. I even used different colors and had so much fun with them. Now I'm studying in Europe, but I can only find the thinner yarn which I am now taking out. I must say I rather yarn braids to any other braids since I don't have the hassle of dealing with hair for a bit. The Q&A was very useful for the next time.
@TheBadbarbie123 i see that you like to experiment with color, genie locs are so easy to do that with, you should try some burgandy or red, you'd like it, if not you can easily take out the red or burgandy and replace it with black
@NaturalUzuri913 - that's just your natural hair that shows, it's not really white, it just looks white because of the angle of the camera. search more genie loc/yarn braid tutorials on youtube and you'll see that on all the videos. hope this helps
Good job, I did mine 3 x's and that was part of how I transitioned before I big chopped on 12/07/11, I love those and i got the idea for them from "justcallmevee", she has a whole collection dedicated to genie loc styles (yarn braids), you should check it out. I love your channel, keep up the good work.
