The answer to the question Mr. Gregory raised in the first two minutes of the video is this: white people don't want to hear about what was done to black people because they're the ones who did it! It is the faithlessness, the cruelty, the vicious indifference to the suffering of our fellow man that whites, by and large, don't want to face. And it is the remnant of that faithlessness and indifference today that prevents us, as a society, from dealing honestly with race in America.
