@DuraToTheMaxxx well its kinda shooting out, but its not horrible. the guy i got it for had a system that dumped more diesel into the engine, idk if that could have caused this

i had one that did that too with 130k miles the one i have now occasionally does that with 90k miles both are 97 7.3's

My truck has ten times more blow by than that. She has 327k and pushes 426hp :)

@SeaVee320 Blowby in the case of any engine is simply the pressure built up in the crank case from compressed air/gas getting pased the rings. Its normal for high milage engines. But there is turbo blowby too, which is what you are thinking of.

A little blow by at idle is normal. When you have blow by at higher rpms is when there is cause for worry
i have a 94 f-450, with the 7.3l powerstroke, it has 81000 miles and its steaming out the filler cap, how bad is this?

I undid mine, got tired of smelling that crap going down the road.
