Renaultsport Megane 250 v Ford Focus RS by autocar.co.uk

I went to Renault and Ford dealerships today. The Renault is £21,000, the Focus £27,000. With a £3000 deposit and a final ballon payment at the end, over 36 months, the Megane was £367.24, the Focus was £590!!! Renault offer 5.6% APR, Ford 10.3%. That was including £2000 of extras on the Renault including the Recaros. The Focus isn't worth over £200 a month more…

As pointed out by 'sweetneit' when he puts the Clio 200 against the RS he is pretty much hanging on his ass flat out, the same way he does here with the Megane but at the end I feel he is being very unprofessional and letting his own preference win. I own an R26 and if I saw an RS in front or behind me I wouldn't hesitate for 1 second to have a little flutter, ok if it was on the motorway different story, but in the Welsh mountains it's grip that counts!

if you cut off the nose of the megane i can really see a lot of vw scirroco in the rest of the body work

see now go on t the clio vs the rs!!! and he sucks the clio off! yet its 50 bhp down n is N/A ? nothing wrong with that cos im getting the clio but it jus seems the litle hot hatches are catching up with the big hot hatches...? tbh theres not even alot in it space wise...?

clio 200 is not a hot hatch, it aint even got air-con. I suspect thres a lot more it does without to provide a decent driving performance.

The whole point of a Hot Hatch is it has the luxeries is expected to be a day to day car but also has the performance.

this megane is much beterr then old R26 but i would still go for ford.... much better imo

My mate has a R26r and he said it definately takes the edge of the performance with a passenger in the car. Just saying :)
