This video was shot in Autumn 2006 in the New Forest. It follows a sow and her piglets on their search for food, and their encounters with people, ponies and a dog. Pigs are allowed to roam freely for a minimum of 60 days in Autumn to eat beech mast & acorns which are poisonous to ponies. This practice is known as Pannage or "Common of Mast". I used a Sony analogue camcorder so this footage has been much processed. I now use a Sony mini-DV camcorder making editing far easier.
