Taste: Magenta center with a crimson rim. Aromas of crushed raspberries, strawberries, and violets populate the nose alongside hints of black cherry. On the palate, this wine soars with vibrant acidity and opulent bramble fruits. With both feet well in the new world, this lavish Pinot has great balance and superior structure. The fruit continues to evolve as this wine departs with a long finish of soft tannins and lingering berries.
Cameron Confidential: This is yet another one of Sam's amazing finds. Sam Spencer, our winemaker, has connections with some of the best wineries around the globe. This wine, coming to us from a very famous vineyard in Carneros, uses single-vineyard designation, whole cluster fermentation, and François Frères cooperage (40% new). In the past, we would build new-world/old-world Pinot blends. This wine is 100% new-world style with killer fruit, bold structure, etc. This single-vineyard designated wine is not only our best Pinot to date, but it presents an exceptional deal at only S18.
