I think if you look at the definition of the word worship, and then watch this video, you will see that Mormons worship Joseph Smith. You decide...

  • Why does the old testament speak about Christ, his coming, etc, yet the old/new testament speak nothing about the coming of Joseph Smith, THE true church, etc. I live in Utah and would very much consider joining the mormon religion if it was 75% God/Christ, 23% bible, and 2% other... Not 80% Joseph Smith, 19% book of mormon, and 1% stature. Theres is NO comparison between Jesus and joseph smith, NONE... but every time I go to the mormon church, joseph & bom is mentioned >100 times.

  • @seechig The Bible tells us to trust in Jesus, and be saved from hell, not join a church. There are a lot of advantages to joining the LDS church from a worldly standpoint, it is, after all a worldly and world centered organization. They have a lot of really attractive potential mates, who will marry ANYONE that says they believe in eternal marriage, and who becomes temple worthy. The thing is, Jesus said "what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?"

  • We do not worship Joseph smith.

    Thats all.

  • @88glatorianlegend if someone sings praises to a man for his holy work, and to a man that supposedly "did more for the world than any other including Jesus" then that is worship my friend, sorry to burst your bubble.

  • I feel for the Mormons who stay in their faith because they were raise with it all around them, because their family are Mormons, because of fear of being rejected if they leave the church. I've witnessed to many Mormons and several have given these reasons for not leaving. Explain to them that our right standing with God is based on accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior, not by being a member of an organization. Jesus saves us, not our church, pastor, deacon, elder or our family.

  • joseph smith boasted that he had done more than Jesus to keep the church together read it yourself.

History of the church pages 408 and 409. Isn't joseph supposed to off being god to his own planet now anyway?

  • "His teachings our the foundation of our faith."

"I pray that we may learn from his example"

"I honor and revere his name"

"He died for those he loved, he reigns in realms above"

"I look to him, I love him,"

"Of noble seed of heavenly birth he came to bless the sons of earth"

"How great in deed our debt to him"

All quotes made by lds church leaders about Joseph Smith. These are only a few

  • ONLY JESUS saves. No man has EVER saved another man from hell, so if Mormons are claiming that Joseph Smith is even on the same plane as Jesus, they are giving him a form of worship, and are sorely mistaken. Mormons may not see Joseph as God, but they do elevate him above ordinary men in a religious sense, thus they worship him. I challenge anyone reading these comments to show me one single Biblical prophet that either was praised in this manner, or that asked for this manner of praise

  • only God is due our praise in a religious sense. We can give a type of praise to men for their achievements, but the type of praise that this song conveys is an obvious religious praise to a man whop claimed to be a prophet, but who was in fact not. NO PROPHET in the Bible EXCEPT for false ones ever allowed themselves to receive any sort of praise or recognition for their humble duties as servants of God, nor did they at any time ever advocate us thinking of them as being greater than us

  • the mormon god cannot create from nothing, only re arrange matter, the God of the BIBLE can and did create animals trees land sea's and people out of nothing. My God created this world us, the animals we are associated with and the scenery that we see in our parks and our back yards.

The god of the book of mormon is a figment of joes mind
