Brother presents the Printer Orchestra - 'The Times They Are A-Changin'. Introducing Print 3.0. The next generation of printer technology, from Brother.
To launch our new range of state-of-the-art, multifunction, inkjet printers, we created a full-scale orchestra, made entirely out of discarded relics from the old world of printing. Printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, modems, hard drives -- a scrapheap symphony, reprogrammed and rewired to perform Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin'". Because the old world of printing has come to an end. And this is their swansong.

We asked the advertising agency commissioned to produce Printer Orchestra to investigate points being raised about the film and to reassure us about the creative process behind it. While we recognise the sensitivities involved, we are satisfied with their response.
We would like to clarify that Brother did not contact the filmmaker James Houston and we didn’t receive any contact or materials from him at any time during the Printer Orchestra project.

Brother is a business that operates to high ethical principles, and we are therefore concerned to read some of the comments expressed here.
This film is part of a campaign that we commissioned from an external advertising agency. We have asked them to investigate the points being raised and to reassure us about the creative process behind it.

La MFCJ4510DW es una multifunción realmente revolucionaria !!! El papel entra apaisado (en horizontal), el equipo es compacto y con un diseño muy atractivo...Nunca había visto tantas prestaciones en tan poco espacio !!!

I like how the predecessor video by James Houston is entitled "Big Ideas: Don't Get Any".

People have been making songs music with computer parts and circuitry for years. Heck, people have made music with pretty much everything! Ever seen Stomp?
It's like saying "Adele is such a rip-off of Michael Jackson. She's using her vocal chords to create notes of different pitches which sound good together. Ha! She thought she'd get away with it!"
Brother have even gone out of their way to answer you guys' concerns. So could we all stop moaning and enjoy the video please? Thank you! :)

Of course you are satisfied with their response. Otherwise you would look like utter fools paying an ad agency like Grey a small fortune to come up with an 'idea' that is just a rip off.
The whole thing is way too similar and some shots are direct copies. And since when do you make Hard drives - another straight lift of James video.
really poor and really poor explanation

The sad thing is, this could have been beautiful.
Yes James Houston wasn't the first to make music from machines. What makes this dodgy is the fact that they contacted him both directly and through representation about the making a similar video to his own fro Brother. That is why people are feeling that this idea is a rip off.
Not only that but they've not pushed to do anything new or inspiring with the resources they had at hand. They had the potential to do something more than this.
