Why do you chain 2 after completing the sole of the foot, but when adding rows to the sole, you only chain one after completing a row?

@pcasey23..... When you are working on the sole you want the stitches to lay flat and kind of spiral around. Chaining 2 to begin working on the "sides" of the slipper you need the height. I hope this answers your question....Thanks for the sweet compliment :-)
