To be sure that my comment was fair I watched all the Iron Maiden covers of this song that I could find. I kept thinking that I was seeing the pissweak performances and that there must be a killer version at the next link, but it never happened.

Only the most welded-on fan of Maiden would think they did "Women" better than the 'Hooks.

I saw 'Hooks at the Capitol in Sydney on their "Second Coming" tour. Their performance of this was shatteringly powerful, this video is tame in comparison.

@Slayeroflight654 We all have our own fave - for me my take is The Hooks. When Shirl - the lead vocallist died - Greg - the writer and founder of Skyhooks said - Shirl had a hidden weapon - he had an abilty to go up an extra octave - more than most people ,I think you will find it apparent if you listen to the conclusion. In all fairness toi maiden if BD performed it he would master it.
