Why the hell does anyone need to get a permit to carry a weapon? Do I need a permit to speak or practice religion? Do I need a permit to be secure against unreasonable searchs? How about testifying against myself? No permit required to get a speedy, impartial trial. No permit required to have a trial by jury, nor to prevent cruel or unusual punishment. And no permit is required of me to enjoy the rights I have not explicitly given to the government. Why is the 2nd amendment so special?
