We played AROUND the drums...we didn't bang on them. Otherwise our parents would've known we were over there. The kids from Rocky Acres and the President neighborhood (Washington Circle, Roosevelt Road, etc.) played over there. Who knew? $139 million, and there's still garbage floating atop the aquifer.

This song is about Holbrook Mass, where the Baird and McGuire chemical plant existed. In 1982 the plant was added to the EPA National Priorities list. Listed as the 14th worst Superfund site, cleanup work began immediately. Efforts included the incineration of 248,000 tons of soil, including sediment dredged from the Cochato River.

I remember seeing her in concert when I was sixteen. She was touring for Angels Running. Amazing performer. I'm 33 now...wow does time fly.
