Hitler was a Christian. Denying reality is what your ilk does best. Praying for me is nice but I prefer you actually DO somthing for me like get an education so you can see how silly your beliefs are.
I think any event like this is a result of a "perfect storm" of circumstances. I don't approve of what he did; he is responsible for his own actions of course and must be punished appropriately however we owe it to ourselves to identify the other factors that pushed this guy over the edge. Nobody can say Martin Bryant wasnt putting up red flags before Port Arthur. He was booted out of school, made threats, tortured animals, etctheres all classic symptoms of a sociopathic individual.
Blame. Is this what "triggered" the shooting? I understand he was also being given rough treatment as he was a muslim - being called names etc. If you want to join the army, you have to be prepared to go into a war zone. I am guessing that as he was helping men with "issues" over there, he would not have had to fight. I think it is fair enough to expect men to go into a war zone. My uncle did not want to kill people during WW2, so they made him an ambulance driver.
He was a time bomb. I would have refused to go and take the legal consequences. A few years in the can and a dishonorable discharge suck but much better than a sodium thiopental, pancuronium, and potassium chloride cocktail in the arm.
BlameRepublicans. I can well imagine that your paper wouldn't have been well received. Everyone always wants more money spent on their area, including the military. I also think people think conventionally. I am sure that if someone had noticed Major Hasan's frame of mind. a simple talk to get things off his chest. As it has happened, there are so many victims, both wounded and killed, their families and friend as of course Major Hasan is in a dreadful situation and his family too.
I took some military science courses when I was in University. One course in particular was an introduction to game theory as it pertained to theater of operations. In the early 90s I wrote a paper on the first Gulf War in which I proposed the US was squandering resources by maintaining operational capacity at levels far beyond that which we needed and for which we had mandate. As you can imagine my paper was not well received.
BlameRepublicans. Maybe this is the solution. The Mexican analogy is a really good one. Any muslim mentor of men in the army could see things in a positive way. He could have advised the soldiers that they were helping the muslim people in Iraq. If there was something wrong in the army's approach, he is in an ideal position to change it from within. Given that Mr. Obama is in charge, I am sure that he is all ears, if any good approach is found. The army after all is changing all the time.

Some people say actions speak louder than words, and I think common sense dictates credence from my posit in this circumstance....

Are you serious, i was one to correct the the historicity of Hitler's religious worldview.
I made no assertions, you would think that the willing genocide of the Judaic God's chosen populace would be enough proof.....
Is that respect for or against the Judaic God?
I guess common sense is not so common...
Aside from that i pray for you!
