That is definitely a Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass!
It is crafted in Japan, although most of those were sold in America. The Japanese versions (some special editions marketed there) have effects such as pickguards, custom colors, etc.
Also, side note: These guitars obviously do not have dots inlaid on the fretboard, but they DO have fret markers on the side of the neck. Additionally, I own one and have played a few others, and the majority of these ARE fretted.
