This is a recording of a panel discussion moderated by CBST member and law professor, Art Leonard with attorneys Judith Turkel , Michele Kahn , Noemi Masliah , and Lisa Padilla , and leading tax expert Shelly Goch .

About the Panelists:

Arthur Leonard is a Professor of Law at New York Law School and Editor of Lesbian/Gay Law Notes . He has written numerous articles on employment law, AIDS law, and lesbian and gay law and has held a variety of influential and activist positions in civic and legal organizations.

Judith Turkel is one of the preeminent private practice attorneys in the area of non-traditional family law. She is well known for representing clients in adoptions, donor and parenting agreements, and non-marital partnership contracts.

Michele Kahn has more than 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney. In 1999, she launched her own practice, and in 2006 joined Eric Goldberg to form Kahn & Goldberg, LLP.

Noemi Masliah has practiced immigration law since 1980 and has worked extensively in all aspects of immigration law becoming a recognized expert in the field with frequent speaking engagements, written articles, interviews and panel discussions at legal conferences and law schools.

Lisa Padilla has been in practice for nearly 20 years, and in that time has amassed a wide array of corporate, financial and related litigation experience. Her firm specializes in estate planning for non-traditional families.

Shelly Goch , CPA, is a leading tax expert. She is a Financial Specialist at KBMG.
