Remember the limitation of the VASIS.
The VASIS is only usable above 200 Ft and during heavy rain the VASIS might give a false indication due to light refraction. If you listen to the radio altimeter you notice that the threshold was crossed at 50 Ft. The A/C was on glide all the time.

so he didnt come in on ils on autopilot? (i never heard him disengage autopilot during the clip). was he watching the ils indicatiors on his monitors and flying it manually?

Some PAPI's/VASI's are set for larger aircraft. E.g 777, 747 where the cockpit is higher and therefore would see a normal glide indication. Nice in southern france is an example where they are set for larger aircraft. I used to fly there in a 737 and you would get 3 reds and 1 white and be on the glide slope.
During rainshower approach,why not open wiper?

if u below a bit its not a prob.Lots of pilot using this on the night time.Less loud when u need to stop.
