This time lapsed video by NOAA shows a one-thousand foot cargo ship over four-and-a-half hours trying to get ungrounded at the mouth of the Muskegon river at Lake Michigan.
What a great time lapse... You even can see them swinging their boom in order to "Roll" her off the bank... Looks like that was a bad day! We got stuck for 3 hours one night in 2005 right off of Grand Haven just south of the line up for the entrnace I believe... I feel their pain.
LoL It looks like a rushed piece stop motion animation. I'm not saying the video sucks, though. That was pretty amazing. That has to have been the Walter J McCarthy Jr, or the Indiana Harbor.
