  • What program were these on? ITV4 seems to really be stepping it up with the amount of boxing it's showing

  • I see you noticed that ;) - they were on a program featuring the greatest knockouts of all time (however footage was restricted to fights that they had broadcast previously). Hope this helps.

  • Frank the Animal was notorious for not training, or else he would have gotten a shot at Hagler.

  • @VINGC In time, Lectoure got hand in Roldan, a very modest limited prospect puncher, a notoriuos winner on one Brusa fighter, but nil experience abroad. How on earth he ended up in Las Vegas against Hagler, Hearns?? Tito was close friend of Bob Arum who was grabbing on cable TV, (former PPV) where Fletcher was main star. Tito knows very well how to convince anyone, even caver man he was the best. Tito was behind Locche, Galíndez, Monzon, and he really knows how to breed a champ. thats it

  • @MrRaiderfan1000 not exactly, at all. Roldan is the result of the very iron will of boxing promoter Tito Lectoure. the story goes like this: Tito and legendary trainer Amilcar Brusa (Carlos Monzon) split themselves apart and divided waters in argentinas boxing scene. Brusas best fighters would no longer be at any relevant event in Bs Aires as far Lectoure was alive, he was owner to main arena there, the Luna Park. All them were thus forced into exile.

  • What a waste. Roldon could of been a great world champ reminded me of fighters like Duran and Marciano. Only if he had better trainers.

  • @imotep09 Hagler slipped and anyways they successfully over-ruled this when Hagler went into the Hall of fame. They changed it to no knockdown as it was clearly that. Going into the hall of fame gets you serious credibility and power it seems.

  • He fell dead!

  • The Animal got TAMED that night! :D :D :D

I'm sure Fletcher's loudmouth ghetto mama was claiming "He Wuz Robbed!" like she always did when he got owned.

  • @SalvyMic Bullshyt. Hagler was not dropped. he slipped, look at that fight and you will see that. Roldan could punch and almost had Thomas Hearns out. Hagler could not be knocked off his feet. But it was called a knockdown by a dufus referee when it was obvious Hagler slipped

  • the uppercut did the damage in this one

  • Frank the Animal Fletcher ....those were the Days when live boxing was on the Box on Saturday afternoons.... it was great.....
