Richard Smallwood Singers - I've Got Something (2009)

September, 2009 Wesley A. Boyd Benefit Concert

After a brief history of his friendship with Wesley Boyd, Richard Smallwood and The Smallwood Singers minister with "I've Got Something" from their 1982 self-titled album. This is led by Jacki Ruffin.

The Smallwood Singers appearing in the video are Vanessa R. Williams, Carolene Hatchett, Raymond Reeder, Jacki Ruffin, Darlene Simmons and Lisa Burroughs Allen.

Wesley Boyd (seen at 6:50 down front in white shirt), who was an original Smallwood Singer, passed away a short time after this concert on October 4, 2009. Smallwood soprano, Lisa Burroughs Allen also passed away recently on November 23, 2011.

@melverlynnh Yes, Lisa sang on this video. She's on the far right sitting in the chair next to Darlene. This was her last time singing with the Smallwood Singers.

Thank you PrazHymn83 for posting this video. This song reminds me of my years as a student at Howard. I was introduced to Richard Smallwood's music in the early '80s. He's one of the most anointed psalmists and songwriters in the Body of Christ!
