12 years ago Curtis Rognan, an LDS teen, committed suicide over issues related to homosexuality. In this segment, Curtis' father and brother discuss Curtis' lifelong struggle with gender issues.
Perfection is impossible, no human has been or ever will be perfect. The idea that he needed to be perfect probably pushed him down the road to suicide. Imagine being a in a church that tells you must be perfect while being a perfectionist and then being transgendered, something that can't be fixed. He never had a chance to be the "perfect" Mormon and his church made sure he knew he was nothing but an abomination.
One of the saddest parts of all this is they didn't even know their son could be called this word...transgender...Neither did the interviewer....*Facepalm*
Once you all stop listening to the bullshit of religions and learn to love yourself and except yourself for who you are you will live a full happy life. To the LDS , SHUT UP YOU IGNORANT PEOPLE. Once people learn that that LDS causes this we can start healing the children.
LEARN UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!! Something the LDS needs to learn.
@molnfee TRUTH, what TRUTH, God's TRUTH?? what about living in peace!! in my view hatred is wrong, at whatever someone does. As for SIN, then they should asked themself how there relationship with God is, NOT other people.
The Church does have in place support for all things. My prayers go out to this family however its always our Free Agency to choose. God Bless and know the church is true.
For those whom are very dissatisfied with the Mormon church's harsh stance on supporting Proposition 8 and want to voice your concerns. Contact me at crognan via youtube. I am going to be making some videos specifically on the church's views. I am very disappointed in the church using tax money to support a civil and social issue, which should override their tax exempt status. I want to be part of the revolution to give all US equal status and rights. If interested in the cause let me know
