In this video, I quickly describe how I created the blood gunshot effect video. This method is simple and can be duplicated with other programs.

Basically, I created blood decals for the walls and created blood animations to make the blood drip down the wall. Then, I placed them in the environment, added color correction, masking to make the effect fall behind the actor, and gun flares to increase the effect.

  • This looks great!!!!

How long did it take you to make???

  • an hour or two. It was fun :)

  • Why would he leave a bloody handprint if there was no blood on his hand in the first place?

Anyways good job, looked pretty realistic.

  • This effect was created as a test for a zombie movie we are working on (which i didn't mention in this video). Typically, zombies bleed from every crease. Plus, it just looked cool :D
