Tibetans around the world are marking the 50th anniversary of an uprising against Chinese rule that prompted the Dalai Lama's flight into exile. China invaded Tibet in 1950,forcing the Tibetan leadership of the time to sign an agreement which allowed Beijing to assert control over the region.

hard choices in here. one side is a horrible feudal system that gouges peoples eyes and lock people up in chains. the other side is a totalitarian system that watches peoples everymove. however, the commies at least allow people to keep their eyes and limbs. which is better, no eyes or no freedom.

There are no torture, police corruption/brutality, human rights violation, or plain cloth police and government suveillance involving homeland or national security around the world and in the Land of the Free. Who are you trying to fool?

The Japanese, British, and American political and military legacies and international law would concur that a foreign invasion or occupation technically and generally do not involve any prior time-consuming peaceful liberation negotiations and self-determination agreement or the inclusion of the Penchen and Dalai Lamas in a political process (or participation in the First NPC four years later) and self-governing working committees.

Re: 1959 Tibetan Uprising Propaganda
'The CIA officer, Bruce Walker, who oversaw the operations of CIA trained Tibetan agents, was troubled by the hostility from the Tibetans towards his agents: the radio teams were experiencing major resistance from the population inside Tibet... In one incident, one agent was immediately reported by his own brother and all three agents in the team were arrested. They were not mistreated.' ---1959 Tibetan Uprising, wikipedia

Another Tibetan from Kham led the People's Liberation Army into Tibet, with hundreds of other Tibetans from Kham and Amdo. They all wanted to overthrow OR reform the Lhasa government. Of course the ruling and upper class are unhappy and wanted to revolt. In the 1987-89s, and March 2008 the Dalai Lama clique instigated riots again. Always it started with the monks and a few monasteries. Any responsible government will crackdown on them.

See how despotic the Dalai Lama regime was, at 2:50min of video. Gouging of eyes and amputating of arms. How miserably poor those Tibetans were? They lived like animals. Can't you see that it's the rebel Tibetans who started the violence first, in the video? 3:20-3:50min The Tibetans in Kham wanted to invade Lhasa also.
