Melissa riding Trystan at the Southwest Welsh show on April 21, 2007. This is the Ridden Cob Classic class (note this is the only class that does NOT use the speaker system, the entrants must take direction from the judge or ring steward). Trystan is 14 years old and stands about 15.2. This was his first show back from major colic surgery last year! He had only been back under saddle (at more than a walk) for 1 week prior to this show, but we were anxoius to show everyone how well he's recovered! He's now back into full work, so watch for him at more Welsh shows in the future! He is standing to approved outside mare by AI only (on site or shipped), please see www.WindroseWelsh.com for more information. Presented by Windrose Farm Welsh Ponies, Cobs and Half Welsh

  • this horse has lovely movement and I love the size. Moves like a big warmblood but shorter, more suitable for women, and really beautiful. Fun video.

  • Thank you so much for the comments. That is exactly what we want to hear!

  • nice horse :)

  • Thank you for the comment. We think he is nice too, and are happy to see him returning to his old self after his colic surgery. Its pretty obvious from the video that his stamina is not where it once was as he just can't keep "showing off" his movement for a whole class, that will come as he gets back into condition! And his movement is not fake, he is completely BAREFOOT, no shoes! Thanks again

  • WOW that is the most impressive tail i have ever seen!

  • Thank you for the compliment. To tell you the truth, we probably don't care for it like we should. It is washed and braided into a couple LARGE braids and then put into large mens socks and left for several months. About every 3-4 months we repeat the process (or just before a show). It is often cut several inches as it tends to drag and Trystan steps on it. Everything here on the farm tends to grow a tail pretty well, but really there is no secret! Thanks again

  • I think it looks really smooth. I dont have time to do the tail because my horse it white and it takes millions of hoirs to clean her.

is there tail extentions on the tail?
