Lost Place Kernkraftwerk (KKW / AKW) Stendal - Arneburg.
Was hier abgerissen wird, sollte einst mit 4.000 MegaWatt Leistung das größte Atomkraftwerk Deutschlands werden.
Das Kernkraftwerk Arneburg bei Stendal wurde bereits in den 70er Jahren geplant.
Für 1,4 Milliarden Mark sollten auf dem 13 Hektar großen Areal vier russische Reaktoren errichtet werden. 1982 begann der Bau.

This was to be East Germany's nuclear power plant but it was never finished. Unit 1 was 85% complete and Unit 2 only 15% complete when the project was cancelled. The reactors were to be Russian VVER-1000/320 with a special German pressure vessel made of a steel cell composite. The project was cancelled with the collapse of the Soviet Union. The only completed pressure vessel was divided and scrapped immediately after the project was cancelled.
