I thoroughly enjoyed your video, I like the rough technique on prep, I can't wait to make it myself. It looks divine and I wanted to smell your dish while watching. Keep cooking.

This looks like such a fantastic recipe. I'm gonna try it when I start uni next week. Nothing better than dahl or noodle soup to take to work/uni/wherever. Thanks for posting. :)

I was cooking while watching: step by step. eating it right now, only without rice. mmmm... :) thank you.

Just looking at your gross stove completely turned me off to your food. Sloppy kitchen and sloppy technique! YUCK

Mate, though u seem pretty good for ur age, let me give u one other delicious and much faster alternative to this dish. Red lentils dont need to pe preboiled compared to other pulses as they cook fast. So, you can dice the veggies, stir fry them with onions, then add the tomatoes, with spices - also can add one vegetable or even chicken/meat stock cube in the mixture and let it cook for some 3-5min. Then add the washed lentils to mixture, salt and let this cook for 5-10 min in a pressure cooker.

Can't wait to make this.

Great job...good on ya..keep up the good work
Being an Indina myself I rarly use red lenthil for my cooking. It was great watching except for the time and for any kind of Dal it requires only 1/2 a tea spoon of turmeric else gives bitter taste.

hi, I really enjoyed watching that. Seen some worse recipes of dahl on youtube - and they were Indian.
Looking forward to more cooking videos (with a shorter time frame though).

thanks. i will eventually redo the video and make it under 10 minutes. also i realized i wasted a lot of time talking about crap and i should have laid out all the ingredients out of the packet at the start... no one needs instructions on how to cut tomatoes etc...

actually instead of putting onion and tomato together in the oil.first put onions and ones they become light borwn then put the tomatos and then all the spices, tht will increase the taste even more. good work dude!!!
