BalkansEmperor if you ever was in Romania...just say me where and when did you saw that...i always thought that Turckey is a great country...with some great people...but know i am really dissapointed...you should better see HOW is YOUR COUNTRY....and maybe how are YOU exactly...and then talk stupid things about A WHOLE COUNTRY....and i really want you to say me what has TURCKEY contributed to history??....and you lie yourself saying you're not racist!! Nu ai intales ce am scris , am spus ca multi romani sunt revoltati de faptul ca multi din NZ nu stiu de vlad tepes , si am mai spus ca multi din acei romani revoltati nu au habar de NZ .

@davazno1 - Imi pare rau sa va scol la realitate, dar Romania nu este o tara importanta pentru majritatea lumii. Tot asa Noua Zeelanda, cui sa-i pese de ea? Cati romani stiu populatia, limba oficiala, capitala, chiar locatia pe pamant de ale Noului Zeelandiei? Sper ca Romania sa devina mai bine cunoscuta si mai stimata in lume, insa va zic sa nu fiti prea arogant.

Va rog sa ne iertati daca va pare prost: fata mea iubeste Romania si a incercat sa le invete pe colegele sale de la liceu (in Noua Zeelanda) despre istoria adevarata a lui Tepes. Din pacate, studentele cu care a pregatit acest raportaj au ramas influentate putin de prejudecatile lor "Bram Stoker-esti". Actrita care a prezentat cele trei personaje nu-i fata mea, ci cea mai proasta dintre prietenele ei!

vlad tepes was one of the greatest rullers in our history, thanks to him and many others we are now called romania. he was never feared by our people only loved, the only ones who feared him were his enemies(the turks). i .. we know this from history that he used to drink the enemies blood after splintering them(maybe one of the reasons why Bram Stoker character drinks blood) .. even so dracula it`s only fiction .. but good advertising for us :))

I can't agree - he was greatly feared and greatly admired, not so much loved. Westerners mostly don't know the truth about him (they just believe Brasovian and Hungarian propaganda) and don't understand the socio-historical context. He was a harsh man in harsh times doing the best he knew how to do and that deserves our respect. Maybe he is like Winston Churchill - Churchill also did many things we can now judge to be bad and wrong but at the time it seemed to be the best possible course.
