  • Awesome! I'm proud to be a part of something so rich!

  • @thisishowwelove Thank you very much for your kind comments.

  • One thing that I think the theater community could do more of is promotion among our Canadian friends. They shop here in droves, and many stay a night. In the evening, they could be seeing our theater. Marketing to them is a breeze, since they are *already* here! They are in fact a captive audience. Theaters should offer Canadian discounts and other promotional activities to get them out of the hotels and bars and into the real nightlife.

  • @rand503 The VBN (Visit Buffalo Niagara) and TAB (Theatre Alliance of Buffalo) have partnered to promote both the region and its theatrical offerings. Promoting to our Canadian friends is one of the purposes of making this video.

  • This is really good, and very well done. However, I would have liked more outsiders talk about the theater, or people who came from other places. It is too easy to dismiss self-congratulatory accolades. It means much more when others do it.

Also, how does Buffalo theater compare with other ciites? How many companies or performances at other places?

Otherwise, I certainly hope city leaders would finally give it the support it deserves.

  • @rand503 Thank for the comments. This video is ultimately a 5 minute promotional piece (one of many pieces produced by the BVN) not a comparative study of theatre in Buffalo and other markets -- We felt a 30 year city-wide celebration of Curtain Up! was the 3rd party endorsement you speak of.
