Most renters know to decline the insurance and then are often swayed at the last second by a salesperson pressuring them that the insurance will actually save you money. When renting a car, you'll be offered a collision damage waiver (CDW) and a loss damage waiver (LDW). The first covers you in the event of a collision, while the second covers any loss to the rental company. Both kinds of coverage are a good idea, but not if they duplicate coverage already included in your own insurance policy. Most insurance policies offer liability coverage to protect you if you injure someone in an accident; some also cover rental-car damage via comprehensive and collision coverage. Check your policy or call your insurance agent to verify coverage before signing up for a vehicle. If you're renting the car with a credit card, your card provider even cover damage to the vehicle in result off a collision. Again, check with your card company ahead of time to make sure.

  • That is horrible advice, If you get in an accident please believe youre paying me a deductible. ie if the damage is $1000 you pay me $500 and your insurance company pays me $500. Plus your payin me loss of use and admin fees. Pay the $15 bucks a day for the 3 days and keep it moving people

  • Somewhere at Enterprise Rent-a-Car a Management Trainee is screaming their head off. CDW is their hustle.

  • Sure, decline an opportunity to total a car and walk free . . . Or, total 3 cars...who cares, as long as it wasn't done illegally, the CDW/PAI/SLP will take care of any situation and it is all charged at ERAC's expense. Oh, and you're welcome!

  • @ 00:59 she lied, Not all credit card companies offer CDW or LDW, if so, it's liabilty on her part to say that! Even if your credit card company offers CDW or LDW, there is usually still a deductible/fee and its most likely SECONDARY insurance. SrCar at ERAC!

  • hey heeyyyyy heyyyyyyy

  • Liesel Hlista? Thats a hell of a name. Very beautiful woman though.

  • That's exactly why i left the MT programs at ERAC, they pressured me to sell products that i don't believe in. I tried being a part of the cult, but my conscious wouldn't let me. Integrity is important to me, so capitalizing on people's ignorance wasn't my thing. Don't get me wrong, i felt great selling the damage waiver to people who aren't cover by their insurance or credit card. If you believe in being ethical, then Enterprise is not the place for you. I went home feeling like shit everyday.

  • Get the cdw with Enterprise Rent A car. 20 dollars a day and you have zero worries about the car. Plain and Simple you have a car for 2-3 days get the waiver

  • I work for a rental car company. I sold the CDW etc. to a lady. She then asked me in a low voice it were a scam (in a just between us manner). I told her: perhaps it is a scam. That is until some rear ends you and leaves the scene. At that point it's the best $15 you've ever spent.

  • Holy cow! Lady are you retarded? Your going to be driving a 20K+ unfirmiluar car around, in an unfirmiluar area, and you want to rely on your own insurance policy?. Sure, so when you CRASH, pay a 500 deductible, and then have your insurance go up for the next 6 years, because you are to fucking cheap to get CDW; thats a good deal right? If you want your ass to be on the line don't get CDW, if you wanna enjoy your vacation without worry; get CDW. GOD!!!
