This is pretty cool. I tell you right now I'd get dizzy as hell doing this. Wonder how long it takes to get used to.

It depends on skill level and how many days you train. I still get dizzy if i do the same thing over and over. I've learned to vary my rotation and axis to keep from getting dizzy.
The simple answer to your question is: a few weeks if one makes steady progress.
I've also learned: just because you feel dizzy, doesn't mean you have to stop spinning or doing skills. It's like "getting your sea legs". you can simply function "dizzy".

Wow that guy is in amazing shape. As Simer said, I wonder if he got ripped before or after doing that.

The greatest benefit i've received from this outside of increase balance/agility is improved core strength and toning. I keep in shape from doing exercises which i will freely share with everyone on the Strength Project channel. The Roue Simple (Cyr Wheel) currently makes up about 50% of my overall training. I considered myself "in shape" before i began the wheel but over the past three years this has definitely brought great gains to my fitness that i was not getting before.

I wonder how many crushed fingers he's had to endure

It can happen and i've run over my finger before but it is uncommon because the natural instinct to inversion skills is opening your hands. good question though.
