I have an E30 325i and the only performance item I have is the Signature Motoring performance CAI for about $150. The performance kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, sounds freaking great, and installs in under 30 minutes. Highly recommended.

-Avg 9 HP increase

-Lifetime filter

-SOUND AWESOME

-30 min. install time

Aside from the power gain, the SOUND is amazing at higher RPM but sounds normal in regular driving. I’m thinking about added high-flow exhaust next.

i have an e30 M20B25 and an E34 M50B25 ... E30 wins every time... The weight is the key....

But i love both as much as my Girlfriend.. Next car is 540i. boom japanese car fisher!!! Sheer driving pleasure! Nothing else to say!

i had 255 on the rear, with the weight alone it will get traction, but any amount of quick acceleration risks any rwd car breaking loose, cheap to maintain might not coincide with stateside bmw's, the onboard computer that was supposed to tell the mpg/timer/distance has never worked, the new owner (friend) has told me the abs light has come on (speed sensor) and is afraid to to the dealer, i got 24mpg on avg, i would recommend this car but not for speed, it a little of everything

Does these bmws have the same kind of engine? I mean The 525i could be a M20 with 172 and the E30 could have M50 Vanos and over 200 hp. What kind of engines does they have? Seems like the e34 is more powerful than the e30, or else the e30 would have won easily.

curb weight almost 3800lb if you were aiming the civic insult to me(notsure) i commented a while back that i owned a 1992 525, i sold it for 2.5k, to some dumb fool who thought it was fast based on modified versions on utube (and the transporter movie) i do own a honda 250 to go to school, but i use my gas f250(5.4) to go to work. lets show stock numbers now:
