@killer429 if the gonarch doesn't follow, hit the ground under the mesh with your crowbar, it should sound like you're hitting metal. Bang around the floor for a while until you hear it sound more hollow. From there, you can either keep hitting it with your crowbar, or lay some explosives on that exact spot, this WILL break the floor! Jump down into the portal and continue to the next level :) I started this problem at night, there was sunlight when I figured it out.
