On the day Congress announced the bipartisan supercommittee had failed to reach an agreement, the President explained the next phase of the Budget Control Act. Sequester would cut $1.2T from the budget over ten years automatically. He defended this and even promised to veto any attempt to remove sequestration saying there would be "no easy off ramps."
